Marc Emery Battles the DEA and Extradition
ABOUT: Please go to www.NoExtradition.net for more information and ways to help!Marc Emery Battles the DEA and Extradition. News clips from the day of the DEA raid on Marc Emery Direct Seeds and media from the day Marc was released from jail one week later. Great early coverage and information about the whole situation. The first clip is about an unrelated marijuana grow busted in Ontario, but moves right into the Marc Emery & DEA story. The sound and video quality improve after the first segment, so please watch the entire video!Go to www.cannabisculture.com to find out more information about Marc Emery, the DEA, and the extradition request.A note about Emery Seeds and the DEA:There are many other seed banks in Europe and Canada that sell to the United States, and there were even 3 other seed stores on the very same block as Marc Emery Seeds. Marc was not the first or biggest bank to sell seeds to the United States by mail. The difference between those seed sellers and Marc Emery is that Marc boldly announced he was using all the seed proceeds to end the drug war by financing anti-prohibition activities. Marc Emery speaks out against the US Drug War in the media, election campaigns (he leads an official provincial political party, one that ran a full slate of candidates in 2001), and his 13-year-old magazine Cannabis Culture. He criticized the US Drug Czar John Walters to his face when Walters had the gall to come to Vancouver in 2001 and tell our mayor to adopt his US War on Drugs. The media loved the confrontation, and the mayor (and mayor-elect) both criticized Walters' heavy-handed and illogical approach. But Walters, and the White House he works for, were pissed off at Marc... and that's when the investigation began in the US, even though a Canadian court had earlier thrown out a Vancouver Police-led investigation and case because it had no merit.Read the DEA press release from the day of the raid - it clearly explains why Marc Emery was targeted. http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4685.htmlPlease, help save Canadian cannabis activists from extradition to the US and life in US prison for their peaceful, non-violent activities in CANADA! Call the Justice Minister of Canada and leave a message saying he should not committ Marc Emery, Michelle Rainey, or Greg Williams to extradition to the USA!
