The march was one of over 220 held worldwide in protest against the continuing prohibition of cannabis use in these countries. This is the provisional IRA putting forward their position. This was taken in the late '80 or early '90.I'm a representative of the general headquarter staff of glaigh na h ireann, the IRA. I don't see any merit discussing individuals as targets, sufficive to say that the people who legislate were the terror in Ireland. Know well that they all remain targets. And I'm sure that Mrs. Thatcher when she goes down upon her knees with a mirror checking underneat her car in the morning remembers the terror, she inflicted on Ireland. Our strategy is that through the effective use of guerilla warfare, and through continually maintaining an effective fighting force, we will eventually sap the political will of the British government to remain in Ireland. If the British government were prepared to show even one iota of leadership, and were to begin moves to disengage from this country, then the conflict would cease.
